Financial Aid Information
The billing statements reflect all university-administered financial aid awards for the semester billed for. In addition, contracts with the Highlander Choice Payment Plan are shown. Private off-campus scholarships are shown only if the university received the scholarship check prior to the date of the billing statement. Work Study/ Work Scholarship awards are not credited to the student's account and therefore cannot be used for payment of tuition.

Pending credit for Stafford and PLUS Loans: The university will provide credit for Stafford Loans offered and/or accepted and for PLUS loans applied for by the billing statement cut-off date. The loan amount being credited will be the approximate net disbursement (the loan check amount) for the enrollment period. Current Federal and State regulations require that an origination and guarantee fee be deducted from Stafford Loan and PLUS Loan checks, therefore the credit used on the bill is the borrowed amount for the term less 4%. Should a PLUS Loan be subsequently denied by the lender, all charges previously deferred will be due and payable immediately.

Please remember that students receiving financial aid credit on their bills in an amount sufficient to cover the total cost will have their classes confirmed. Students who register for classes and decide not to attend must contact the Financial Aid Office and the Registrar's Office prior to the beginning of the semester.
